About me
I got my first passport when I was 21 years old to take a month long backpacking trip to Europe and that is when the addiction started. Since then I have travelled to 61 different countries and have travelled to 6 of the 7 continents. In 2005 I quit my job and travelled though Africa and Asia for 16 months by myself. It had always been a dream of mine and I had frequent flier miles to get me an around the world ticket. In that period of time I travelled to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, India, Nepal, and Australia. On my journey I met tons of people both local and fellow travelers from all walks of life. They all had different cultures, religions, races, countries, economic backgrounds, etc... I stayed in locals homes, ate their food, participated in their religious practices, and joined them in family celebrations. One thing all these people had in common is that they were human. Everyone was just like you and me. Too many people in this world have fear of the unknown. Fear breeds hate and where there is hate there is violence. If more people would travel and experience these unknowns, there would be more peace in the world. This is why I started Passion Xplorerers.
